President of VeriSign delivers Keynote at Loudoun Chamber Annual Technology Forum



Loudoun resident McLaughlin headlines forum focused on helping Loudoun Chamber businesses use new technologies to drive their business growth


Lansdowne, VA - Mark D. McLaughlin, the President and COO of VeriSign, and a Loudoun resident, will deliver the keynote address at the Loudoun County Chamber’s annual Technology Forum on Friday, April 17 at George Washington University’s Virginia Campus, from 8 a.m. to Noon.

Named the President of VeriSign earlier this year, McLaughlin leads one of America’s most recognized and trusted providers of Internet infrastructure services. With major Loudoun County operations, VeriSign protects more than a million web servers around the world and processes billions of daily online interactions.

A highly respected industry veteran, McLaughlin’s speech will focus on helping Loudoun County Chamber members gain a better understanding of how technology impacts their business. He’ll also offer his unique insight to help local business professionals understand fast-moving technology trends and how they can leverage their technology investments to take advantage of these trends.

In addition to the keynote presentation, the Loudoun Chamber’s Technology Forum will offer a panel discussion on how businesses can leverage online social networking to expand their business networks and create new business opportunities. The panel will be led by Robert Smith, Chairman of iBelong, and Rob Pegoraro, technology columnist for the Washington Post.

The Technology Forum will also feature two dozen exhibits and demonstrations by area technology companies, including seminars by Second Life developer David Levinson of Cranial Tap, and another by Jim Radzicki and Matt Ho, of Network Solutions.
